Yesterday most of the day was spent in separate TA groups in order to prepare for the mock trial correctly. The students were able to work in their prosecution and defense groups for hours on end with their TA to ensure that the parts they were assigned are being done correctly. The students also had a lecture with Professor Noah Messing where he spoke on the specifics of a cross examination and what questions should be answered or avoided. Afterwards we broke up into TA groups again and discussed the importance of evidence and the way it should be introduced in the courtroom. In conclusion, the kids continued to work on their mock trial parts and helped each other in terms of their presentation and confidence.
