Yesterday the Business and Entrepreneurship Students got the opportunity to to speak to go through developmental leadership workshops on LinkedIn and Resumes as well as Public Speaking and interview skills. Later in the day they were able to speak with the founder and CEO of Red Penguin Books Stephanie Larkin. She spoke to the students about entrepreneurship, the developmental stages of a business, and how they could begin their own businesses as a high school student. During the end of the day, the BUSI kids finished up their Management Team simulations, which is a simulation that replicates the 4 quarters of a fiscal year. After completing Quart 3 of the simulation they attended and spoke at a press conference where the students then had to deal with a crisis on the spot during the press conference and respond properly. During Quarter 4, they responded to the crisis and continued making their companies successful.
